This particular shape and design has a single function and that is for light-weight compactable waste which is collected by a Front End Loader truck with a special compacting feature to compact and hold approximately 40 bins of waste before emptying. This bin is manufactured from 3mm mild steel, except for the side pockets, which are made from 4.5mm plate. Stiffening channels to reinforce the bin have been welded at positions pre-determined by a computer analysis program to give maximum strength and minimum weight. The aperture of the bin is such that plastic lids can be fitted to eliminate waste materials being blown out of the bin therefore reducing environmental pollution. Smaller versions of this bin are available on request in the form of 4m³ and 2m³.
